This morning I pushed up a small but significant redesign — more a typographical realignment — of Catriona’s blog, Circulating Library. I used TypeKit’s hosted typeface service to provide the typography, enhancing the neo-Victorian feel of the design. I’ve also (sparingly) used CSS3 shadow effects, so use a modern web browser to get the most out of the design. Versions of Internet Explorer before 9 are not considered “modern”, of course.

I love essays about the design process, but given the sheer complexity of the work under discussion, I could have done with something more … book-length.
Incredible technique.
Lots of stuff breaking right now.
Wishing there was a better off-line design solution for Tumblr!

Boing Boing Gadgets has redesigned. Um. It’s “BBG” now? I’m having a BSG flashback.
Not massively enthused by the styling, but I quite like the 80s rainbow background.
